Exposed Pool Walls
Building a pool on sloped ground often requires extensive excavation or the construction of retaining walls. However, by designing the back wall of the pool to be exposed and structurally reinforced, the natural slope can be leveraged, eliminating the need for an additional retaining wall behind the pool. This approach not only reduces construction costs but also offers an opportunity for aesthetic enhancement.
The exposed portion of the wall can be finished with decorative stone or parched.
Raised Beam Walls
A Raised Beam can serve many purposes in a pool! Functionally, it can be used to retain soil on sloped sites, acting like a mini retaining wall to hold back the surrounding grade. Aesthetically, a raised bond beam adds depth and visual interest to the pool’s perimeter.
This elevation change in the pool wall also creates the perfect opportunity to incorporate custom features, such as waterfalls, sheer descents, or decorative tile or stone finishes.
